Jeff Tinsley
Owner and behavior therapist, Jeff Tinsley, specializes in rescue/shelter dogs, and behavior modification. His nearly 20 years of experience working with anxiety, fear, and aggression issues are brought to you in a positive, caring, and understanding environment.
Jeff's mission is to provide a positive, caring environment; to help people to love, trust, and respect their dogs; and receive the same in return.
We teach owners how to teach their dogs understand how to properly handle different situations. Using clear and consistent commands, gentle handling and training, we show pets how to be good family members.
Our techniques are never harsh or painful. We use positive reinforcement and clicker training almost exclusively.
As owner and founder of Sound Animal Services, Jeff Tinsley helps members of the Puget Sound community create happier lives with their pets. Through a range of classes, lessons and counseling services, Sound Animals focuses on working closely with pet owners to enhance their understanding of their animals’ behavior. With a supportive, caring, and positive environment Jeff and his staff strive towards their goal of increasing their clients satisfaction with their dogs and strengthening the bond between them.
Jeff has evolved his philosophy and techniques for pet training and support with hands-on experience in his field. Previously a head trainer for Anne’s Animal Actors, Jeff has trained and handled a range of animals including wolves, deer, foxes, raccoons, as well as numerous dogs and cats.
A member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Jeff has worked with the country’s leading dog and animal trainers and behaviorists. Jeff and Sound Animals consistently donates to local schools, hospitals and animal programs in order to further its mission of providing a safe and trusting environment for pets and their owners.
